Jardin Majorelle
It took French painter Jacques Majorelle, 40 years of passion and dedication to create this enchanting garden in the heart of the Ochre city.
It was commissioned as a cubist villa but features hints of Art Deco and clashing vibrant primary colours. It glows with an intense blue the artist perceived in the Atlas Mountains - it was a wonder to explore.
My visit in 2018 inspired my cultures project in my second year of Univeristy and led to a collaboration with AW Hainsworth Mill in Pudsey, England.
